One of our standout partners is UCSB Gaucho Racing, a dynamic student-led team dedicated to designing, building, and racing electric vehicles while gaining real-world engineering experience.
Gaucho Racing’s mission is to provide hands-on learning opportunities by applying industry-standard tools to real-world challenges. The team recently participated in their third Formula SAE Electric competition in Michigan, achieving their highest score ever and setting the stage for their upcoming project, the GR26. Our Kenesto platform has played a vital role in this journey, helping to streamline their data management and collaboration.
With approximately 60 core members and an additional 20-30 auxiliary contributors, Gaucho Racing is a vibrant hub of innovation and teamwork. Traditionally, they relied on basic file management solutions like Google Drive, which often became disorganized and out of date. Since adopting Kenesto in 2023, they’ve experienced a transformation in how they manage CAD data and project workflows.
Gaucho Racing primarily uses SolidWorks for CAD, alongside Autodesk Fusion 360 for electrical work. Kenesto’s user-friendly interface and comprehensive PDM features have enabled them to stay organized, improve collaboration, and focus more on engineering design rather than file chaos. President Alex Fu shared, “Kenesto has been a longstanding partner of Gaucho Racing, and we cannot wait to fully utilize their services this coming season. The simple UI is easy for new users and includes all the features our team needs to succeed.”
