At Kenesto, we are passionate about supporting talented student teams who push the boundaries of engineering and design. One inspiring example is the 49ers Racing Formula EV Team at UNC Charlotte who is using Kenesto as the core platform for their high-stakes project.
This ambitious team, composed of over 50 members, designs and develops a new FSAE EV care car to compete against 130 international teams at Michigan International Speedway each June. Before adopting Kenesto, they faced challenges with chaotic version control, scattered files, and inefficient revision management — relying on physical hard drives and Google Drive, which often slowed down their progress.
Their search for a seamless, reliable PDM solution that integrates well with SolidWorks and can handle large files led them to Kenesto. Today, Kenesto empowers the *49ers Racing* team to work collaboratively from a single, secure platform, where all manufacturer models, aerodynamic simulations, and CAD files are stored and managed efficiently.
